Not sure what to say?

I am just finding this obituary now in 2021 after making a new friend who also attended Lincoln Middle school a few years after me. We were talking about our favorite teachers. Mr. Lapointe was one of mine. I always remember watching him in the annual talent show breaking out his Jitterbug dance moves, and loved the care he showed his students. I remember on my last day of 8th grade being so sad to leave him and his class. He was a wonderful teacher and I always think of him fondly. Perhaps...

I had Mr Lapointe in 8th grade in East Millinocket, and he was also my next door neighbor. My heart-felt condolences to the extended family. He was a great teacher and a wonderful neighbor.

I served in the 243rd EIS, MeANG with Jerry for many years. He was a great mentor to all administrative, information management and training personnel. He was always thoroughly prepared and ready to assist new members.

As principal of Lincoln Middle School, I had the privilege of working with Jerry. As a friend, I played a number of tennis matches against Jerry. Simply put- he was one fantastic guy!!. He was a true professional who really enjoyed teaching English, but more significantly, he enjoyed teaching kids. So sorry to hear of his passing. May he Rest In Peace.

I taught with Jerry at Lincoln Middle School for many years. Most of his conversations with me involved his beloved family and his deep faith in God. He was a good friend and I will miss him.

Uncle Jer was a very loving and caring man. We will miss him. Our deepest sympathies to the family.
