Joseph was born on February 3, 1946 in Breaux Bridge. Joseph dedicated his life to bringing joy and laughter to those around him, a true testament to his cherished role as a comedian at heart. His unwavering humor and warm spirit became the fabric of many family gatherings, where he was often found cooking for his beloved children and grandchildren, pouring out love in every dish he prepared.
Joseph had a passion for exploring the natural beauty of his surroundings, with countless camping trips to Grand Isle, Eunice, and Cameron filling his heart with memories that would last a lifetime. He cherished these moments, not just for the adventures they brought but for the time spent alongside family, watching his kids and grandkids relish in the simple joys of life.
Joseph's early years were filled with a profound passion for horses. His love for these majestic animals defined much of his youth. He dedicated a significant part of his life working at the horse track, where he served as an Exercise Trainer. With a deep understanding of these noble creatures, he forged bonds that were not only professional but also heartfelt. His dedication to the horses was evident to all who witnessed his unwavering commitment; it was a pursuit driven by genuine love and admiration.
In addition to his knack for storytelling and laughter, Joseph found tranquility in the quieter moments of life. Whether it was cutting grass, crabbing along the shorelines, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, he lived in a way that embraced every special moment. Everything he did radiated the love he had for his family, who were the center of his world.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Leger LeBlanc; son, Shannon LeBlanc (Brooke); daughters, Simonne LeBlanc Richard (Herbert), Wendy LeBlanc Hebert (Johnny) and Erin LeBlanc Wilson (Mike); brother, William LeBlanc; grandchildren, Paul Samuel Richard (Courtney), Blaine Michael Richard (Megan), Corey Thomas Hebert (Kaylyn), Mackenzie Paige LeBlanc (Braylen), Clayton Daniel LeBlanc, Baylor Paul LeBlanc, Brady Jude LeBlanc, Paizlee Joi LeBlanc, Keilee Rose Martin (Andrew), Ashton Joseph Martin, Beckum Levi Martin and Ridge Thomas Wilson; great-grandchildren, Brees Richard, Emeri Richard, Remi Richard, Bentli Richard, Audrey Hebert, Russell Hebert, Liam Johnson, Kobe Martin and Myla Lejeune.
