Joseph T. Persichetti

The Digiovanni family has been a part of my life for so many years that it is hard to remember a time when they were not so. Because of this I only knew Joe as Uncle Joe and he is as much a part of my memories as any of the others. He always had a smile and a hug for me at any family function that I attended. My heart and prayers go out to all of you and especially to Aunt Annie as I know what a devoted sister and caretaker she has been for the last few years.

We will miss him!

Uncle Joe was my Godfather and a very special Uncle. He was definetly one of a kind and I'll miss him forever. He'll be remembered for his kind and gentle ways, his smile, his humor and generosity to me and all of his family. Aunt Annie talks of when he made a sales call to "The Projects" on Washington Ave. back during the "J.P. Sales" days and he met a woman who had children, the husband had abandoned them and they were out of food. He gave her money to buy a loaf of bread and some jelly....
