Chief Redden was one of classy men in the Fire Service that I ever had the pleasure to meet. Back in 1968, the Chief spoke to my friend and me about the operation of the Newark Fire Department which because of men like the Chief is one of the best Fire Departments in the US. He took the time to explain a lot to us. He asked where we were going to High School and we said St.Benedict's (Class of '68). He said that you must know my son Michael.
