Josephine J. "Jo" Hardin

What an amazing woman throughout her long life. I have very fond memories of learning to sew from Jo. She was exceedingly patient and a true model of a strong, joyful woman.

Jo was always so good to my kids. She loved my son and taught my daughter to sew.

Jo was a dear friend to me when I truly needed a friend to listen to me, to let me blow off steam, to advise me, to cheer me. Jo and I taught at Sherman Jr. High in Hutchinson together in the late 1970's. I was going through a rough time with all kinds of things going wrong in my personal life. She understood, for she had gone through similar strife in her life and had weathered those storms and had become better because of them. Jo helped me to do the same in my life. May God bless her...

An interesting and independent lady of great intellect and exceeding kindness. I had occasion to spend time with her when I painted her house and while building a sewing room in her home and learned to love her wisdom and happy disposition. You will be missed Jo.
