Jonesboro- Josephine Adeline Pearce, 87, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at Skillcare Nursing Center in Jonesboro. She was born on May 30, 1925 in Black Oak to the late Dee and Birdie Poe. She retired after 30 years from the Quality Stamp Store in Jonesboro. Mrs. Pearce was a lifetime member of the Bono Church of Christ. She is survived by a brother and his wife, Paul and Joyce Ann Poe; a sister and her husband, Evelyne and Joe Harrell; three children, Gene DeJarnett and wife Susan, Dwight Pearce and wife Helen and Debra Darr; eight grandchildren, Andrea (James) Zelhart, Marty (A.J.) DeJarnette, Misty Talburt, Roger (Tiffany) Darr, Angela (Dwayne) Isom, Cladeeca (Drew) Presley, Jennifer Carmen and Tonya (Carrie) Hill; twenty great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ted Pearce; two daughters, Nina Brown and Polly Forkum. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:30 am at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Terry Kee officiating. Gathering for family and friends from 11:00 until 11:30 am, Saturday at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. Lasting memorials may be sent to Paragould Children's Home.
