"Veterans Day 2022, 17 years after the passing of Josh. Although I knew him as a friend and classmate in high school (class of 92), the nature of his sacrifice has garnered even more meaning to me as time has gone by. Spending 16 years in the Air Force myself, I am familiar with the noble pursuits and honorable service that Josh, along with many other proud military members, have provided and continue to provide to our great nation. I am so very sorry that I am just finding this out! I served with josh back in 1995-1996. We were a part of 1st battalion 75th ranger regiment. We finished AIT together and went to battalion. We were really good friends. I was surprised when he called and told me he was going to re-enlist to go back. I did tell him I completely supported him and wished I could go with him!
