Not sure what to say?

It has been over a year and my heart continues to miss Josh daily. He was and always will be a very special part of my life. Josh's name lives on through our baby Benjamin. I love you Josh!

I knew Josh since he was a freshman in the Texas A & M Corps of Cadets. For a time early in his career in the Corps he experienced one of the toughest personal times a cadet could have. He decided to drop out of the Corps, which in itself can be a life changing experience. Josh discovered that he made a mistake, that quiting was a challange unanswered. He went back into the Corps and distinguished himself, with his Corps accomplishments, and also with what he came to be with his buddies -...

To The Marcus family,

As I sit here reading all the many wonderful messages from Josh's friends around the world, it brings back so many memories of my years in high school and BBYO. Although I wasn't in touch with Josh these past few years, our friendship will always live on in my heart. I have so many fond memories of Josh. You could always count on his positive and happy nature, no matter what the situation. He touched so many lives and will live on in my memory as a wonderful...

Dear Marcus Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Josh's passing. While it has been many years since I have seen Josh, I have so many fond memories of days in BBYO, spending time with him. He was an amazing person, with a heart of gold. All who knew him, know this.
The world is certainly a different place without him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Al and Barbara,

I wished that I could have said these things in person, but I was unable to take leave on such short notice. I don’t know how much I could have comforted your family, but I would like to let you know how much Josh meant to me, and how much will always cherish my memories of him.

Josh was a good man. I remember many conversations we had where he gave me very useful advice. He was always willing to listen to my complaints and frequently showed me a...

There is very little that I can say. He was a dear childhood friend of mine. And though I knew him only vaguely after high school, he remained, and still remains, an inspiration to my every action in life. Since learning of his death, I've written not a word or a note without the image of his smile in my mind. May his spirit remain as infectious as ever.

To the Marcus Family,
I first met Josh back at Texas A&M. He has always been a dear, kind and caring person. I could always count on Josh for a hug, a kind word, and a smile. He was the kind of person who would light up the room when he entered... and was always there when you needed a friend to talk to. He will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Although I only met Josh once when he was a very young teen-ager, I have followed the important milestones of his life through his devoted aunt and my very close friend, Patty Marcus. Most recently, she shared his very well written and witty e-mails with those of us with whom she works, from his recent trip to Asia. Josh had a way of verbalizing the day-to-day details of his trip in such a lively, realistic way that I almost felt I was there also. He was, indeed, a very talented writer. ...

Barbara, Al, and Matt
Primarily we have known you Barbara, but to know you is to have known your wonderful, precious son. May time heal all of your pain. Our thoughts and prayers are with you each of you during this time of sorrow.
With our deepest sympathy,
