Not sure what to say?

Hey Josh,

It's Sensei Rick. I still miss you. I miss you as a friend, a coworker and a training partner. I know your heart is always in the right place. I miss you and your silly smile. You are the only instructor more silly than even myself. And you will know, your lines really impressed me. Having you as my training partner in Rons classes was the best time I can remember. You pushed me to be better. That's all anyone can ask for. Osu Sensei.

I knew Josh growing up as one of the 'block kids'. After hearing his loved ones talk of the man he became, it became clear to me that Josh was still the same old Josh I knew back then. A gentle soul, caring person, and all around great guy. It was so great to hear how he became a hero to so many people and the impact he had on so many lives. I will always remember his laugh, his smile and his generousity. He will be missed by so many but not forgotten.

Sensei Josh will truly be missed. He was a wonderful instructor and my sons really looked up to him. He taught them so much and really lended a hand to me in discipling them and teaching them respect. Our prayers are with his family. Although we would rather him still be here I know he is in a better place and happy.

God Bless
The Pino Family

Josh.. it's UNK G. You touched so many lives - I wasn't aware how many. I wish I could have made the impact you made. Christmas won't ever be the same again without you handing out the presents. I feel so empty.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Josh was my son's Sensei and we both are at a loss for words. What we will both remember most about Josh is his sense of humor and extreme love for karate. He always had my son laughing from his jokes or his funny stories. My son holds dear to his heart the countless memories of Josh at practice or at tournament encouraging him and telling him that anything is possible. My son has truly lost his hero. He also holds near his heart a piece of wood that...

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Josh was my son's Sensei and we both are at a loss for words. He always had my son laughing telling him jokes and countless funny stories. What we will both remember most about Josh is his sense of humor and extreme love of Karate. My son has lost an amazing friend and hero. He holds most dear to him the autographed piece of wood that Josh had broken at one of the graduation ceremonies and pictures that he has taken with him over the years. Our hearts...

Josh was our nephew. We have many memories of him from the time he took his first steps to him sitting in a chair with his wife in his lap, rubbing her pregnant stomach and wispering love to her and their unborn child. We wanted more memories, but will keep close in our heart the memories we have. We miss you.

Josh you will be truely missed, I am blessed for having been part of your life, and Angie,Jean,Gail, Larry, and Loren, the best thing you can take from this tragedy is that Josh touched sooo manny lives in such a positive way.
Including Jackson who misses you Josh everyday....
Rest well my friend..
David

To Miss Gail and the rest of the family,
Josh was much loved by us all. His love for children showed every day, and we're extremely glad he was part of our lives these past seven years. He will never be forgotten.
