Not sure what to say?

You will always be in my thoughts as a kind, caring and supportive colleague.

I didn't find out sad news until seeing the URI alumni magazine this month. Very sad. I took a couple course with Josie, and stayed in touch with her for many years. She was a help when I became an English teacher in the late 80s. I remember when her mother passed away in RI and her husband in PA.

I am shocked to learn that Dr. Campbell has passed away. I was doing an online search to find out how I could contact her. Too late for that now, but I want her family to know that she had a profound impact on my life when she taught at URI -- she was the professor who opened my mind and encouraged me to write what I believed without regard to whether or not a professor would "like" it. Josie was a terrific colleague - I especially appreciated her mentoring and her wonderful humor!

Auntie Josie was always kind to us and was a pleasure to be with. I will miss her and cherish my memories of her, my prayers are with you all..

One of the favorite parts of my mother's week was Josie Campbell's Tai Chi class at the Portsmouth YMCA. Mom never practiced Tai Chi until she first stepped into your mother's class, and she fell in love with it because of Josie's gift for teaching. Death is not extinguishing the light; it is...

I have heard many wonderful things from my mother about Josie Campbell. She was a bright star. Her memory will always be cherished.

As you remember your beloved one, may our Father the God of peace give you comfort and peace in every way today, tomorrow, and always. Please accept my sincere condolences. Psalms 94:18-19 *
