Family-Placed Death Notice
MILLS, Jared Jared Matthew Mills, 33, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on Thursday April 1st, 2010 at his home in Kennesaw, GA. He was born to Stephanie and Patrick J. Mills, Sr. on June 17, 1976 in Johnstown, PA. Jared graduated from York Suburban High School, York, PA, in 1994. He received an Associate Degree from Cambria Rowe Business College, Johnstown, PA. and then attended St. Francis College in Loretto, PA. Jared married Jennifer Erin Wallace of York, PA. They gave birth to the beautiful Mary Bella Mills on June 30, 2004. Jared and Jen moved to Greater Atlanta GA. in 2001. Jared has been employed in Telecommunications for the past several years, most recently with Ernest Communication in Norcross, GA.. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mary and Charles McCarthy, Mary and Gerald Mills and his uncle, Ed Terek. Jared is survived by loving wife, Jen and daughter, Bella as well as his devoted dog of 11 years, Percy. Parents, Stephanie and Patrick, Sr., brother, James Peter, brother, Patrick, Jr. and wife Lisa along with nephews, Aedan and Brady Mills; all of Woodstock, GA. Parents-in-law Tom and Barb Wallace, York, PA. and brother-in-law Drew Wallace of Port Townsend, WA. Maternal aunts and uncles, Camilla Terek, Molly and Bob Chunta, Charlene and Rick Chaney, Cynthia and Dave Chaney all of South Fork, PA. Paternal aunts and uncles, Sylvia and Ron Klein of South Fork, PA, Barbara and Frank Blake of Hinckley, OH, Monica and Bob Puchan of Willowick, OH, Jerry and Darlene Mills, Portage, PA. as well as many loving cousins. Jared will forever be known as an extraordinarily passionate, devoted and loving father and husband as well as great friend, adoring son, generous leader, extremely talented musician and the world's greatest brother. Viewings will be held on Tuesday the 6th of April from 1:00 to 3:30 and 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock, GA (770-926-3107). A Funeral Mass will be conducted by Father Larry Niese at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church on Wednesday the 7th of April in Woodstock, GA at 11:00 AM. Committal will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Acworth, GA. We all love and miss you Jared.

I had this out on Facebook originally, and wanted to add it here for all of you......This was at Gram and Pap's house. One of my favorite moments with my younger cousins. Jared is all of 5 years old here and hammin' it up for Uncle Bob (my Dad was taking the picture). He will be forever young, forever missed, forever loved.

Had many great times playing music and traveling with Jared when we were in our early twenties. So many wonderful and funny memories of him. I was very saddened to hear the news of his passing. He was a great guy. My sympathies to your family.

What can be said?? Jared was my friend and I'm terribly saddened by his passing. I feel guilty going about my daily life knowing what has happened to the Mills' family. Mr. and Mrs. Mills, my old buddy Patrick, and Jimmy, I will always remember Jared. I knew for certain that we would be life time friends. Whenever possible, Jared would call just to say hello and I too would do the same just so we know what's going on in each other's lives. I'm really going to miss him! Uncle Pat, Aunt Steph and family: I wish that I could be there with you to give you all a hug. I still can't believe that Jared is gone. Uncle Pat, Aunt Steph and family: I am so sorry for your loss. Jared was an amazing person and he will be sadly missed by alot of people. I remember Jared, Patrick, Pam, and myself playing at Pap Pap & Grandmam Mills's house when we were kids. I also remember when Jared and Patrick came to visit Pam and I when we were teenagers. My dad didnt know who they are and slammed the door in their face. (My dad did feel bad about it when he found out who it was). Jared really loved his family. Jared was a caring person and had alot of love to give. He was also a wonderful father. I wish I could have been at the funeral but I will be thinking of you that day.
