Obituary

Joyce Ingalls, an actress and former model, has died, according to multiple news sources. She was 65.

No cause of death was announced. Relatives did ask that memorial contributions be made to a local cancer charity or to the Little Brown Church, where she and her husband, the producer Darrell Fetty, were married and helped run a homeless ministry.

Ingalls, who played a prostitute who tried to console Sylvester Stallone's character in 1978's "Paradise Alley," died Aug. 5 at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Her other film credits include "Deadly Force," "Lethal Weapon 4" and "The Man Who Would Not Die."

Born in 1950 in Charleston, South Carolina, Ingalls got her big break back in 1966 when she won a Cover Girl contest, according to eonline.com. She later signed a modeling contract with the Eileen Ford Agency. She appeared on the covers of Vogue and Cosmopolitan magazines during her modeling career.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Fetty, who partnered with his wife to establish the Darrell and Joyce Fetty Food Pantry more than two decades ago. She is also survived by their two sons, Derek and Tyler; her mother, JoAnn; and eight siblings.

Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry Mrs Ingalls; I only now learned of Joyce's death. I was writing on my FB about a little fellow in our St Mary's extension (at St Matthews) who has stayed with me in memory when I got the idea to Bong search Joyce. Very sorry.

I was in study hall with Joyce at Maury High, she was a beautiful girl

Joyce, you, Becky and Carol added sparkle and courage to the lives of all those around you. Rest in Peace, Young Woman,

A beatfuil sweet person.Childhood neighbore and friend

Thank you to everyone who has offered condolences or shared a memory about my beautiful Angel. I'm sure all your sweet words are making her smile. Wishing Love & Blessings to you all.

I will never forget having dinners at your house and all of us "kids" watching "Twilight Zone". And of course all the work on Girl Scout projects our mom's had us do. You and your family are happy memories.

I give my sympathies to the family and friends of Joyce.

Joyce, I would have liked to known you, but I was just a kid. Your candle burnt out long before your legend ever did. Rest in Peace...
