Joyce was a wonderful teacher,her classroom was always very warm & loving space for learning. . She taught her students how to respect each other along with academics. She's was very special in so many ways.

We were privileged to have Joyce as our daughter's first grade teacher; the last class before her retirement. We still have the book she gave to each and every student, personalized with a special message. She was everything a teacher should be and one of the kindest people we have ever known. The fact that many of her former "first graders" are mourning her loss, speaks to her ability to make a lasting connection with them.
