We are all so very sorry for your family's loss, and share in the sorrow that you all feel so deeply. While we were never lucky enough to have personally met him, we understand what a very special person Mr. Longoria was because of the many loving stories that Chris shared with us about his Grandpa, and what an incredibly positive impact he had on Chris' life. We pray that God will bring you all comfort and peace, and that He will hold Mr. Longoria close in his arms as he rests in peace.

So sorry for your loss. Uncle Johnny was one of our favorite Uncles. I will always remember his infectious laugh, Uncle Johnny loved to laugh. I will miss him dearly

Tia Audelia, Doris, Mark, Eileen:
My morning 4-mile bicycle ride to work offers me a time for contemplation, a time to notice the little things in life that make life so wonderful: the way the sunrise paints the morning sky with pastel orange and reds against the blue sky; the sounds of birds singing, the cool air upon my face. This morning tears welled up in my eyes. I thought, I wonder if drivers passing by can see these tears? Maybe they will think I have a dust particle in my eye. There was no dust in the air, only my thoughts of Uncle Johnny, Tio Yoneh.

Uncle Johnny was truly a very special man. He was my godfather when I made my first communion but I never called him padrino Yoneh, I don't know why. As kids we do stuff that we just can't explain until we look back and try to make sense of it. Looking back, I guess it was because he was and will always be my Uncle Johnny. I will always and forever remember his love for his family and how he always put family first. His trips to the ranch at Encino typically included a stop at my mom's house, especially after my dad passed away. I can vividly picture my mom's joy at seeing Uncle Johnny's smiling face.

It truly is a sad time but at the same time I am thankful and joyful that I had him as my uncle and that my mother had him as her brother. I remember the phone calls that I received from Uncle Johnny alerting me to an issue that could affect my mother. He always looked after his siblings. He also had a deep-rooted sense of social and economic justice which I appreciated. My only regret is that I did not have more conversations with him over the phone on that topic, especially after my dad passed away as my dad and I would discuss social and economic justice among other things over the phone.

Uncle Johnny truly left his footprints on many hearts, including mine. He made a difference; in his own way, he made this world a better place.

Love, Pete Jr.
