My dad was Judy's cousin. I was looking Judy up online this morning, because I found a charm with her name on it. I am not sure if it was her aunt Verla's or Granny Ermine's. I wanted her to have it. I am very sad at what I found here. Verla always thought the world of Judy and spoke fondly of her often. I am so sorry for the loss Linda. If you would like to have this charm, I would be happy to send it to you. Sorry for the late condolences.

I was chosen several Sundays to go with Judy and her family out for lunch after church. I remember how lucky I felt to be chosen. I'm sorry that I didn't visit her in latter years. I did follow her posts on Facebook.

When you hear the saying "touched by an angel", I realize now that I was. My name is Sally and I live in CT. I met Judy by chance at a Red Sox Game back in 2016. I was with college friends, one of whom was in a wheelchair. Judy was also with a friend who was in a wheelchair. Judy and I were sitting next to each other and I found her accent interesting and different then the Boston accents I hear at Fenway. So I asked her what her name was and where she was from. She told me MS and I asked what she was doing at a Red Sox Game. She proceeded to tell me she had cancer and was going to Dana Faber. My heart sunk. She told me her friend came along to see Martha's Vineyard which was a bucket list item. As we continued our conversation, we struck a mutual likeness.... the Dallas Cowboys and in particular.... Dak Prescott. She proceeded to tell me they both went to MS State and even texted me a picture of the two of them. I have kept that picture in my phone and every once in a while would text Judy to find out how she was doing. I texted her on Oct 16th to see how her Dana Faber appointment went, on Jan 15th to chat about our boy Dak and then on Jan 16th she told me about the "brain thing" as she called it. She told me she wanted to see Mystic Ct, Yale, and a ride up the east coast. I told her if she ever got back to the east coast I would love to hook up again. I texted her on Valentines Day and she wrote a big long update on Feb 16th. And then yesterday, May 25th I texted again, not knowing Judy had passed away. Linda answered my text with the sad news. Although I really did not know Judy but from our chance meeting, I know I was indeed touched by an angel. I will keep her and her friends in my prayers always. She was indeed an angel here on earth... Love Sally

Judy meant so much to those of us in the MPSA/MAIS who knew her. She was a special lady, teacher and coach. We will always be grateful for her positive influence on all of her students, players, parents and those for whom she coached with and against. Judy, we'll miss you!!!

Prayers lifted up tor the family. She will be missed. I played basketball under
Coach Jacobs at McCluer back in 1977-1980. She was great influence on my life
And gave me the love for the sport. Also, remember spending the night with my team at her parents house. What great memories I have of her. She was a dedicated teacher and
Mentor. It was awesome to have such a caring coach. My favorite Coach during my years playing basketball.
