Not sure what to say?

I am a former Wilson student 63 years old. I had the best years of high school in Mrs. Conway class. She was an amazing educator, and absolutely amazing human. RIP Jun Conway

I was June Conway’s student in Health Occupations at Benson, class of 91. She taught us professionalism in a medical setting that translated to any other work setting. I learned skills that I still apply to this day as an optometrist. I remember how one day when she thought I seemed sad, she pulled me aside and asked me how I was really doing. It meant a lot to me that she cared. She was a special lady.

Best class I ever took at Wilson High School was Health Occupations. We bused over to Lincoln for class instruction, then got to explore areas of healthcare, such as dentistry, nursing, etc. This class cemented my interest in nursing, in which I’m still practicing! I loved Mrs Conways enthusiasm and the interest she took in her students. I hope her vision of this class is still offered at Lincoln/Wilson.
She was one of the best teachers I ever had!
My condolences to all of her family

My condolences to Blaine and family-Up to a couple years ago we used to play cribbage from her condo in Vancouver overlooking the Columbia-she got my little sister interested in nursing school back in 1978 during her time spent at lincoln hig school my sister graduated and went on to be a pediatric nurse at Dornbecker hospital-She and Blaine helped me a lot when I became single at 65 =providing some short term housing-Blaine hads helped me in other ways-sorry I couldnt make it to play some...

What a special lady! I always enjoyed spending time with her at any family get together. I think what I'll really miss is that twinkle in her eye and the way she would giggle. She was so loved by my wife Katie. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I was a student of June Conway who I met in August of 1982 at Benson High in Portland. She taught in the Health Occupations Program. The first class that freshmen were exposed to was medical terminology. This class was basically all memorization work; however as a physician to this day I use what I learned. As a freshman in college we had to take the same class and I was overly prepared. Mrs Conway made sure if that.

She was a great teacher. Classes were organized and...

What a beautiful obituary and a life well lived. "Circle" brings back a lot of memories. The Health Occupations program at Benson was rigorous and unforgettable. I can still remember my first patients at the VA and Meyer's Court. We were asked to do a lot as HS students, and we did it. Ms. Conway's curriculum gave us the skills to be a CNA, first responder, and dental assistant upon graduation, as 18 year olds.
You don't forget someone like Ms. Conway.

A beautiful tribute. With love from your dear friends.
