June Fulton Obituary

June Kathryn Fulton, 99, of Newtown, PA, passed away on January 17, 2025. She was born in Lebanon, PA, moved around and growing up in the Lehigh Valley towns of Bangor, Bath, and after High School, Allentown, PA. She was a 1943 Graduate of Nazareth High School and 1946 Graduate of Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. During WWII, while in nurses training, she was a Public Health Cadet Nurse.

On July 4th, 1952 she married Charles L. Fulton. Living in Silver Springs, MD until 1956, then moving to Levittown, PA, before settling in Newtown PA in 1962. She loved Newtown and was a founding member of the Newtown Historic Association in 1965. She was a 63 year active member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church serving as a Deacon, long-time member of the Bell Choir, supporter of "Aid for Friends" food and friendship program, and Quilting Club. She supported many charities and had a special place in her heart for Native American and under-privileged children. During the 1960's she served as a Volunteer Nurse with the Bucks County "Well Child" public health clinics in Bristol and Newtown PA.

She lived independently until age 97 in her beloved home on Merion Drive until 2023. Over the years she raised 2 son's, enjoyed 4 grandchildren, friends and neighbors, all of whom participated in progressive dinners, bridge card clubs, attending church, and going on church trips. She moved to Lifequest Nursing Center, Quakertown, PA on her 98th Birthday. While at Lifequest she especially enjoyed her Newtown Church lady-friend's visits.

She didn't believe in taking any risks and was a very cautious person. She was motivated and lived her life in the by-gone early to mid 20th Century philosophy era. She was a true member of the "Greatest Generation". Those who knew her later-in-life were always astounded at her longevity and commented on how she aged so gracefully. She is now at Peace and with the Lord, Jesus Christ.

June is survived by her son Clarke B. Fulton and wife Dawn; grandchildren Rebecca Chiodo, Katie Fulton, and John Fulton; 5 great grandchildren; sister Romain (Kline) Fay; and many other loving family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, husband; son Brian Fulton; and granddaughter Jenny (Fulton) Bender.
