I am so sorry to have just heard of June's passing. I so wish I had known she was ill. June and I both attended SMCC and received our associates degrees in Plant and Soil Technology and June worked in my nursery, Sunnyside Gardens, one summer. We had the love of plants and travel in common. She was a wonderful hostess. She will be missed.

June taught me much about family values from infancy through middle adulthood. She was always a gracious hostess, and my memories of many Christmas celebrations from early childhood through present day at West Auburn are fondly remembered. She planned travel and showed me there was a great big world outside of Auburn, Maine. She was loving and supportive of me throughout my life and was always there when I sought advice. June was a beloved friend and mentor at Lewiston-Auburn Senior College for 17 years. She will be sadly missed.

Twas 50 years ago that June & I were assigned to be room mates in the BOQ in Hanau Germany where we were employed by
The Department of Defense schools. We bonded immediately and that bond became stronger each year. When she was assigned to Spain, she invited me to come visit and I really tested her hospitality by staying for FIVE months. What a great friend.
