Not sure what to say?

I represent Karen's classmates from Hathaway Brown School in Cleveland, Ohio. We knew Karen as a quiet and most capable student and friend. Karen was editor-in-chief of our yearbook. Her kindness, organization and humor shown brightly in that work. Karen had the highest academic achievement in our class. We are sorely saddened by the loss of Karen. We applaud her many significant contributions to the city and county of Schenectady. We knew in 1960 that Karen was exceptional. We did...

We offer sincere condolences to Karen's family for her loss. We have wonderful memories of working with her when she was mayor when we were downtown business owners. She was such an advocate for the small business owner and did so much good for the city. Such a lovely lady with so much class and integrity...such a strong female role model as well. Rest in Peace Karen. Michele and Jeff Koester

To the family of Karen Johnson - my husband Dick Lang and I, Nancy Lang, met Karen at Proctors Theater where we were volunteers for 28 years before moving in 2008. Karen was always helpful and supportive of our efforts, especially as tour guides for the theater. My sympathy to her family as you celebrate a life well lived. Nancy Lang of Coppell, Texas

My condolances to Karen's family. As a Republican I was always impressed with Karen's devotion to the "public good".She will be missed in the greater Schenectady Community.
