I knew Karen in Denver where we shared special classes under the guidance of Dr Ted Glim and then through 3 years in close association at South High. Ironic in that I am so sorry to have missed her while I was flying in Thailand in 66-67, working with my famous photographer Al Weber in Carmel, commemorated at UC Santa Cruz for his work, and Santa Barbara where my own daughter and family have resided since the 90s. Karen was an accomplished leader and charming angel and she will be missed.

I was so very surprised and shocked to hear of Karen's illness and passing. We had fondue together with our friends just 15 months ago, and she was thriving and fine! Karen was a woman of many talents, much sweetness, many contributions, and much heart, soul and humor. I was in college at Redlands with Karen, and we were together in our Junior Year Abroad program in Salzburg 1962-1963. She will be very missed. I send you all my empathy!!
