Growing up, Karin was my best friend who lived across the street from me. She had a small bicycle that she let me use to learn how to ride, so when I got my own bike, I was already a seasoned rider. Karin and I spent many wonderful, fun hours playing during the summers and made many happy memories. One summer, I think it was the summer before going into 7th grade for me, my parents and I went on vacation for several weeks, during which I underwent a growth spurt. No one really noticed because I was barefooted and in shorts, so we couldn't really tell by looking at my clothes. When I got home, I ran across the street to see Karin and when she opened the door, she both stopped in horror and stared at how much taller I was than she. We both burst into tears and hugged, trying to comfort each other because we just knew that Karin was shrinking. Honestly, it never occurred to either of us that I'd grown! We were cute, but naive. She was a sweet girl who grew into a kind woman. We ran into each other occasionally over the years, even though we lost touch when she and her family moved from our neighborhood. I'll always have fond memories of that precious girl, and her fun brothers! My thoughts are with them now.

Many happy means good time we had. Friends in High School and both were involved in 4H. Had fun on the Drill Team in 4H. We also went to Europe with a senior group. Many great memories! Rest in Peace Karin!

To Karin's family,
I knew Karin from our 'horsey' days at Westwind Stables in Midland. She was always helping me out with my horse, Callie, who was quite temperamental!! All of us at the barn were always in awe of Karin's artistic abilities....her painted t-shirts and sweatshirts were so amazing!! Such a talented painter. I know you have many wonderful memories of her so she will always be close to your heart. RIP Karin.
