So sad to hear this news and my thoughts are with Kate’s family. At Garrison Forest School we were allowed to escape for weeklong visits to day student families. I had the great fortune to be invited by Kate. I have wonderful memories of my stay with her - our rebellious inclinations and liberal politics - as we gulped black coffee (my introduction to that) and had long conversations about how to make the world a better place. Meanwhile Dr. Miller was deeply and calmly engrossed in history...
