Mrs. Kathryn P. Strohl

Mrs. Kathryn P. Strohl, 96, of Lehigh Township, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Luther Crest in South Whitehall Township. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard E. Strohl, to whom she was married for 66 years before his passing in 2013.

Born in Little Gap, Kathryn was a daughter of the late John H. and Nora S. (Daneker) Borger.

She attended Palmerton School District.

A talented seamstress, Kathryn was employed at the former DeVille Blouse Co. in Danielsville for more than 30 years before retiring in 1991.

She was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union and a faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church of Cherryville, where she actively served on the basket committee, soup group and newsletter coalition.

Anyone who knew her was familiar with her proud and unwavering dedication to her family, her faith, and her pride in taking care of her home and property. Kathryn was the epitome of the devoted wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend, who will be greatly missed by all.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Linda Sidor, and husband, Thomas, of Cherryville; a granddaughter, Jillian Powers, and husband, Jeffrey, of Little Elm, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Evan, Lincoln and Livia; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Howard, she was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas J. Sidor, in 2023; two sisters, Ruth Holtzer and Evelyn Howard; and two brothers, Henry Borger and Kenneth Borger.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery at Little Moore, Danielsville. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday from 9:30-11 a.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Village of Moorestown - Bath.
