Katrice Brooks

KATRICE BROOKS (NEE BAKER) VALPARAISO, IN Katrice Brooks (nee Baker), age 41, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hobart passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. Katrice is survived by her husband, Bob Brooks, of 14 years; her dog, Sosa; mother, Diana Demmon-Baker; mother-in- law, Pat Brooks; father-in-law, Bob (Sue) Brooks; brother, Edward (Malissa) Rose; brother-in-law, Jeff (Brooke) Brooks; grandmother, Kathryn Vaulkner; and numerous other family members. Preceded in death by her dog, Dorian. Katrice retired from the casino industry with 15 years of service. She was a graduate of Hobart High School, class of 1990. Katrice was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Hobart. She enjoyed Valparaiso University basketball games and spending time with her family and friends. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Geisen Funeral and Cremation Services, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with a V.F.W. service at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral and Cremation Services in Merrillville with Dr. Homer Drew officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Valparaiso University Athletic Department.
