EVANS, Dr. Keith Dr. Keith Evans, aged 90, passed away peacefully in his sleep January 14, 2017. Having achieved an age at which many outlive their friends, Keith just kept making friends. A skilled and respected potter, Keith was much inspired by Japanese art and culture. Pursuant to his wishes...

Not sure what to say?

My name is Conor Harrison and I bought Keith's old home on Deer Trail in 2017 from the woman who bought it from Keith. The home is amazingly quirky and many of the features are unique and Japanese inspired, inc several carvings above doorways and a painting on the wall which still remain. Hard to explain, but the house just has a warm, inviting, peaceful vibe, and has since I first walked through the front door. I was researching the history of the home and came across this obit- confirming...

I met Keith and Gay, his wife, in 1981 when we were neighbors. After Gay's passing, Keith was a friend I could always count on for outings - the symphony, the new restaurant in town, dress rehearsals at the Theatre Center. Keith and Gay's home was a magnet for artists, musicians, thinkers, and neighbors. I consider myself privileged to have known him, and I miss him still.

I met Mr. Evans on a story and he was such an incredible man to meet. I was blessed to cross paths with him and I will forever remember his beauty and inner strength. As I left our meeting, he gave me a bag of pecans from a tree we were sitting under. Mr.

Keith was a dear family friend for many decades since perhaps the 60s. He graced me, my mom, Susan Brown and dad, Richard Brown with sincere but superb friendship. I always admired his wife, Gaye and I must admit I asked them if I could come live with them when I was probably 10. He grinned and said he was flattered but my parents would probably be upset and I should remain steadfastly, at home for my best upbringing! I was disappointed but everyone but me was smiling at his candor!

He was my neighbor for 20+ years, and a dear friend for 30 years. He was a sincere, talented gentleman, and a willing confidante. He is now with Gay and his mom, laughing, telling stories, and exploring new places. I loved him dearly. It may sound cliche, but it is true; they don't make them like him anymore. Bon voyage, myfriend.

Keith was not only inspired by Japan, he inspired others with his enthusiasm. The same can be said of Keith's joyful embrace of life, and of the fine example he set in treating everyone with kindness and respect.
There are too few men who are truly gentlemen and scholars. Kieth was both a gentleman and a scholar of the highest order. His loss is a great one to his friends and to our community.

I owe a great deal to my beloved Uncle Keith. He was my first dentist and I have never feared a dentist because of his kind example. His magical relationship with my Aunt Gay has always been a template for my own marriage -- the mutual respect, friendship and adventures they shared was beautiful. He was curious and artistic -- ageless really. He cared about humanity and the suffering of others. And he physically cared for his terribly ailing Mother for years with a devotion and...

Dr Evans was my dentist for 30 years. I grew up in his office. He was a kind man and I grew to love him and his wife. As a teenager I once told him I was in love with his wife. He replied that I had very good taste.
I'm now 79 and I enjoyed running into John's Cafe.
He will be missed.
May he rest in peace.
