ABBOTT, Kelly Marie Spence, died Saturday, September 27, 2008. She was the daughter of Betty Ratcliffe Abbott and the late Miles Spence Abbott Jr. She attended Colonial Heights High School and was a graduate of John Tyler Community College. She was born October 29, 1967. Kelly is survived by her mother; her sister, Elizabeth Abbott-Baynum and husband, Leroy; niece, Catherine; and numerous cousins. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 2003 Boulevard, with the Reverend Al Thorne officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, P.O. I would like to send my condolences to the Abbott family. I had the pleasure of working with Kelly at the Martin Call Center and she was a very loving and caring person. She will be greatly missed.

It was truly a blessing to have a friend like Kelly. She would always have a big smile on her face no matter what the situation may have been. I hope that she realized how many people truly loved her. Goodnight my friend until we meet again.
