Kelly Catlin

1995 - 2019 (Age 23)


Kelly Catlin was a world class cyclist who won a silver medal in the women’s team pursuit at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. She won gold medals at the track cycling world championships in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Catlin was in graduate school at Stanford for computational mathematics.

Gone too soon! My heart aches for the family, friends, and fellow cyclists mourning the loss of Kelly. As you grieve, remember God will comfort and sustain you during this difficult time because he cares about you. (1 Peter 5:6,7)

I would have liked to meet you, but your candle burnt out long before we could've met. We could have been good friends and ride bikes together. Perhaps you could have taught me how to win like seemed natural to you. Rest in Peace Kelly!

Sometimes people don't know how to except being loved by so many people, but you should never reflect on her death but her life and accomplishments.
