Ken Berry (1933 – 2018) starred in the sitcom "F Troop" in the 1960s. Berry played Captain Parmenter on the Western themed sitcom for two years. He had a recurring role on the last season of "The Andy Griffith Show" as widowed farmer Sam Jones. That character was spun off to star on "Mayberry R.F.D.," which ran from 1968 until 1971. I always enjoyed Kens acting,dancing and singing. He was truly a genuine person. Looking forward to talking with him in Heaven!!!

As we mourning the life of Ken Berry who played Captain Wilton Parmenter on F-Troop from 1965-1967, I do remember catch the reruns of the show when I was a kid, also he co-star with Vicki Lawrence on MAM's Family that he played Vinton Harper/Carl Harper as his Mama Thelma Harpers late husband Carl 130 Episodes from 1983-1990 which I love the show which it made us all laugh. As a young kid I believed in the morals that he portrayed in Mayberry RFD in The Andy Griffith show as a young man I had the opportunity to spend time at Jackie Joseph's house one afternoon in Burbank inside two very special people with very special talent it's sad you separated in life and now we're separated forever but he is a better man to have had and made such a family I'm creative loving and wonderful children beautiful ex-wife and good good friends he had a life worth living and...

Been watching the F-Troop DVD's and brings back so many great memories of your calm style and wit. You are so missed. As the first anniversary of your passing approaches, God Bless.
