Kenneth C. Higgins, 94, of Allentown, died June 23, 2018 in his residence. He was the husband of Rose Marie (Wenner) Higgins. Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late Norman and Miriam (Fair) Higgins. He worked as a car salesman for Scott Chevrolet for many years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church. He was a former professional race car driver, member of the US Auto Club, Checkered Fan Club, attended over 60 Indy 500's, industrial league softball player well into his 60's as a pitcher for the East Macungie Hotel, amateur boxer, member of the Emmaus Sentinel Drum and Bugle Corps., and a member of the Allentown Senior Citizens. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; Sons, William C. Higgins, Charles E. Higgins, Kenneth C. Higgins, Jr., Roger K. Higgins, Jeffrey A. Higgins, and Timothy M. Higgins; Daughter, Sharon Dries; Sisters, Dorothy "Dolly" Bertsch, Sally Graver, and Diane "Cookie" Smith; 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandson. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Dr. Jenna Lynn Higgins. Private Graveside Services will be held in Western Salisbury Cemetery, Allentown. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bryn Mawr College Resources Office, 101 Merion Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010, Attn: Jenna Lynn Higgins Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Always a fascinating and engaging man, Kenny Higgins led a full and enriching life. More importantly, he presented to our world a generous and kind family to carry on his legacy. I thoroughly enjoy his friendship and will miss him greatly.
