LaPorte, Kenneth D. Beloved father, grandfather and brother. Age 68, of Crystal River, FL. Preceded in death by parents, Dr. Lawrence and Frances LaPorte and brother, Peter LaPorte. Survived by children, Laura (St. Louis Park, MN), Lawrence and wife Colleen (Manhattan Beach, CA) and Matthew (Tampa, FL); grandchildren, Nicholas and Daniel Schwartz (St. Louis Park, MN) and Chantelle, Colin and Nicolette LaPorte (Manhattan Beach, CA); and companion, Cyndy Bradshaw of Crystal River, FL. Also survived by twin brother, Lawrence (Doris) of Tawas City, MI and brothers, William of Friday Harbor, WA, Paul (Carol) of Traverse City, MI, James (Judith) of Owasso, MI, Robert (Marnie) of Denver, CO and John (Marcie) of Denver, CO; and a sister, Mary (Charles Rial) of Cleveland Heights, OH. Ken spent his entire career at Honeywell, rising to the level of Vice President of Human Resources. He was known for his generosity & willingness to help those less fortunate. Memorial service to be held April 26, 12 noon at Our Lady of Grace in Beverly Hills, FL. Reception to follow at Meadowcrest Clubhouse. Graveside service to be held April 28, 12 noon at St. Andrew Cemetery in Saginaw, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Indian OIC, 1845 East Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404. Ken was instrumental in the development of this organization.
