Kenneth William "Ken" Long

We were the next door neighbor of the Longs. Great neighbors for our family. When their home had a fire we were happy to open up our home to the family because they could not stay in their home. We were glad to help. Many fond memories. We were sorry to hear of his passing. John and Jeannine Lueken

Ken taught me how to troubleshoot and isolate faults on one of the most complicated fighter jet systems ever created. Isolating faults on a complex system is an ideal way to understand the system in depth. Ken also revealed to me a few humorous British sayings, which I only understood years later when I married my lovely British wife Theresa. Ken shared with me his experience when he lived in Ilminster on VE Day - he remembered it like it was yesterday! Thanks Ken for brightening my life!

I had the privilege to not only share a surname, but to have worked with Ken for several years in the T45TS at Boeing/McDonnell-Douglas. Ken had a keen and sharp engineering mind and he made significant contributions to the aircraft program. He often brought unique perspectives to solve problems. I really enjoyed working with him over that time. My condolences to family and friends
