Weatherhead Young Funeral Home - 885 Mantoloking Rd. Brick, NJ 08723

Kenneth Wesley Mills, Jr., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.  Known as "Mr. Brick" by all of his relatives, Kenneth was a Brick Township native who loved tinkering with his cars, crafting, and hanging out in his garage.  He enjoyed his profession in sales immensely.  He married his beautiful high school sweetheart, Martha, and raised three children while working hard and providing for his family.  A proud and strong man, Kenneth was dearly loved by all who knew him.  He is survived by Martha Mills, his wonderful wife of 44 years, son, Kenneth W. Mills III and his wife, Natalie Mills of Point Pleasant, his loving younger daughter, Kristin Mills of Bayville, and his older daughter, Monica Fenlon and her husband, Sean Fenlon.  He also leaves behind his true pride and joy, five dear grandchildren: Carleigh, Penelope, and Nolan Fenlon, as well as Wesley and Maria Mills; and sisters, Bonnie Mills and Linda Field.  A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home – 885 Mantoloking Rd. Brick, NJ 08723.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, 10:30 AM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ken I didn't know your father personally however he raised his son to be just like his dad and he's very proud of all your accomplishments and love you have for your mom, your siblings and your children. Rick and I are sincerely sorry for your loss and wish your family peace during this very difficult time.

To my husband, we lived we laughed we cried together. And I wouldn’t change a thing. I’d marry you all over again! You will FOREVER be in my heart. I love you and miss you Martha

My father in law was a truly unique man who left a mark on me forever. I loved you dearly and your fire cracker personality will be missed. Most of all I’ll miss your laugh. We had a special relationship and I’m glad I got to spend 12 years of memories with you. Watch over us, I know I will be seeing so many of your traits unfold in your grandchildren!!! Love you “Big Ken”

If you knew him, you knew he put his family first, he worked hard, and he had many passions. It’s going to be easy to keep him alive in my heart and mind. His legacy lives on through his “Gillette” children and grandchildren.
