Kenneth Van Wagner Jr., 72, of Bloomville, New York, died on November 3, 2013, at Albany Medical Center. He was born June 23, 1941 in Rhinebeck to the late Kenneth and Florence Burns Van Wagner. Ken lived in Bloomville since September 2013, and was a former longtime area resident. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ken married the former Macy G. Brown. Mrs. Van Wagner predeceased him in 2001. Mr. Van Wagner worked for Ryan Sand and Gravel as a truck driver and mechanic for many years until his retirement. He was a former member of Beekman Fire Dept., and Staatsburg Fire Dept., Station #2, and also attended Stamford Baptist Church in Stamford, NY. Survivors include his son, Brian D. Van Wagner Sr. and wife, Tara, of Jefferson, NY; son, Kenneth Van Wagner III and fiancé, Tonya, of Poughquag; daughter, Crystal Van Wagner, of Bloomville, NY; fourteen grandchildren, Eric Sibley, Brandon Knowlton, Tiffany Mulcahy, Kenneth Van Wagner IV, Eddie Gent, Travis Van Wagner, K. C. Van Wagner, Brian Van Wagner Jr., Harley Van Wagner, Cody Van Wagner, Jake Van Wagner, Cheyenne Van Wagner, Kaylee Van Wagner, and Miya Van Wagner; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Douglas Van Wagner, of Hillsdale, and Edward Van Wagner, of Saugerties; two sisters, Mary Ward, of Staatsburg and Karen Kaserzyk, of Bliss, NY; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Ken was predeceased by his daughter, Jenasee Van Wagner; sister, Geraldine Van Wagner, and three grandchildren: Jordan Van Wagner, and Michael and Angel Kilmer. Calling hours will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc. Rte. 9, Hyde Park. A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 1 pm on Saturday. Burial with military honors will be in Crum Elbow Cemetery, Hyde Park.
