WHEELER, R. Kenneth "Ken", of North Chesterfield, passed away on June 22, 2013, following a brief illness. He was born in Washington, D.C. to Nathaniel Dudley Wheeler and Ruth Lee Matthews Wheeler. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine K. Wheeler; daughters, Jennifer W. McEntire of North Carolina and Ruth W. Clark of Florida; and a sister, Catherine W. Jones of California. He was preceded in death by his brother, Aubrey. Ken is also survived by his three beloved dogs, Dee Dee (Daddy's girl), Casey and Willy and many wonderful friends and family. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and achieved the rank of captain. He was a graduate of the University of Richmond and the T.C. Williams School of Law and a retired partner with the law firm of Hunton & Williams. Ken was an avid fan of the Richmond Spiders, specifically football and basketball. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Malvern Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23221 or to the Richmond Animal League, 11401 International Drive, Richmond, Va. 23236. Kris-Kenneth and I were close many years ago-just heard of his death-am so sorry-you must have made him a wonderful wife.

Chris and family -- please accept my sincerest sympathy on your loss. I have many fond memories of my years on the Wheeler team at H&W. I remember especially that Ken loved Christmas and would decorate his office. When it was time to pass out bonuses he would call us into his office and always asked if we were happy in our work. My thoughts are with all of you.

Chris, Jennifer, Ruthie, and families. My heart is very heavy today. Even though I have not seen my very first boss in many years, I cherish the time that I worked for him at Hunton Williams and always smile when I think of him. We never failed to exchange birthday cards through the years and I will feel a little empty on July 25th. My sincere condolences to you all.
