Kevan Forden, my boyhood friend By Jack Heslin

Kevan and I were neighbors in Warwick RI, and we were boyhood friends. I have very fond memories of Kevan. He was one of a small group of friends who played baseball together, went fishing together, and played in the fields and woods around our home at 413 Long Street. I got a chance to spend some time with Kevan when my brother, Robbie, came to East Greenwich last summer. I hadn't seen Kevan since I was a kid; he spent an incredible amount of time at our house. Last summer he told me how much it meant to him to be there and what he learned: what the heck a 'napkin ring' was. He also remembered my dad's license plate from the 50's and 60's.
He was so happy, so upbeat, feeling so alive - feeling so in tune with his belief system and his dedication...

Charlie and I were so saddened to learn of Kevan's death. My fondest memories are the warm welcomes and thoughtful kindness you both shared with us. Kevan's picture is just how I think of him with that big welcoming smile.

I went to Hendricken with Kevan. We maintained our friendship throughout the years and always enjoyed catching up at the reunions. Great guy. May he Rest In Peace and God Bless
