Funeral service for Mr. Kevin Randall Chavous who passed on Saturday April 9, 2016 will be held on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street Tampa, Florida with Rev. W. D. Sims, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Cummings Roberts; his great uncle, Bishop Cummings; great aunt, Connie O’Murphy; uncle, David Roberts and aunt, Rosalyn Roberts.
He leaves to cherish memories of him with his ten children, Bryant Chavous, Kevin Chavous Jr., Keandra Chavous, Ke’Shad Chavous, Ki Ara Chavous, Tavon Chavous, Micah Chavous, Mikayla Chavous, Anaiya Chavous and D’Antay Carson; six grandchildren, Christopher Cornelio, Bry’Anna Chavous, Ke’Shad Chavous, Jr., Trinity Drayton, Paris Chavous and Sunjai Harrison; mother, Patricia Roberts; former spouse, Starr Chavous; two sisters, Cassandra Pettigrew and Deana Roberts; brother, Jermaine Wilson (Tiffany); three nephews, Dominic Divens, Antonio Pettigrew Jr. and Matthew Wilson; two nieces, Madison Walker and Mi’yah Williams; four aunts, Evelyn King (Leroy), Rudean Crawley, Bobbie Clark and Sheila Roberts; two uncles, Calvin Roberts and Larry Wright (Beverly); cousins, Portia Lowe, G. Douglas Crawley, Keith King, Geoffrey Crawley, Kimberly Randle, Krysta Clark Johnson, Derrick Roberts, Sedalia Roberts Knight, Cory Roberts, Beth Loud, Vernetta Womack, Frank Duhart, and host of many other sorrowful friends and relatives.
Kevin was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the Hillsborough County School system and graduated from Tampa Bay Technical High School. He pursued a degree in computer science from Hillsborough Community College. Kevin loved music and all things technology related. He shared his love of music with his cousins and friends by teaching them his D-Jing skills. His love of technology made him the on call consultant to his family. Prior to Kevin becoming ill he worked in the computer technology field for more than twenty years.
There will be a viewing on Friday April 15, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
