Kevin Lyle Garrett

Kevin L. Garrett, age 49, born October 15, 1969 in Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on March 13, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. Kevin was born to David and Judith Garrett.

The family will receive friends during visitation on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be held at 7:00p.m.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 7341 Glenview Dr., North Richland Hills, Texas. A reception will follow.

The Garrett family made their move to Haltom City in 1973, when Kevin was 4. He was a graduate of Richland High School's class of 1988. He completed his Six Sigma Certification through Villanova and started a successful career in Sales. His charisma and attention to customer care made him great at what he did.
He was very involved in BMX and did all he could do to help youth with the same interest. He shared this talent and with his giving spirit, gave much of his time to help others and the community.
The love of his life, was his daughter, Abbee and through his interaction with her education and activities, he became very involved in helping her school. With that, came his involvement in Softball. He served as a coach for the Haslet Tigers, for many years where he developed relationships to inspired youth and help them develop their talents. He was an inspiration to many young ladies, but more importantly they were an inspiration to him. Kevin always found a way to give of himself to others. His generous spirit, his love and care for others will be forever cherished in the hearts of those he touched.

Kevin is survived by his best friend and mother of his daughter, Sandee Garrett, daughter, Abigale "Abbee" Garrett, parents, Dave and Judi Garrett; brothers, Rhett Garrett, Joey Garrett; sister, Tanya Clamon; grandmother, Florence Koon; aunts, Loretta Brocato, Mel Nezat, Toni Nezat, Carolyn Nezat; uncles, David Nezat, Tommy Nezat, Kenny Nezat, and Mike Brocato; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, his softball team, The Haslet Tigers, his Cowtown BMX family, other relatives and many friends.
