Kevin Dewayne Thacker

Kevin Dewayne Thacker, 54, of Pinsonfork, KY, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Pikeville Medical Center. Kevin was born March 31, 1968, in Pikeville, KY, the son of the late Nancy Louise Brown Thacker. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Opal May Thacker. Kevin was a retired logger and really loved his job He loved to draw and was a jack of all trades. He was very loved by all and will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Thacker of Pinsonfork, KY; his children, Brandy Thacker of Williamson, WV, Lucas Thacker of Big Creek, KY, Gracie Thacker of Dix Fork, KY, and Leah Thacker of Big Creek, KY; his step children, Bobby (Courtney) Amburn of Pinsonfork, KY, Ashley (Kelly) Johnson of Pinsonfork, KY, Kara (Craig) Thacker of McVeigh, KY, and Jonathan Amburn of Pinsonfork, KY. He also leaves behind his siblings, Audrey Thacker of Tennessee and Brian Thacker of Rockhouse, KY; his grandchildren, Rylie Jordan, Ethan Thacker, Leela Jordan, Braxton Amburn, Ethan Amburn, James Amburn, Paxton Amburn, Jeremiah Johnson, Lillian Johnson, Randy Amburn, Conner Thacker, Keylee Amburn, Kegeen Amburn, Jace Thacker, Brantley Thacker and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2022, after 6 PM at the McVeigh United Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, beginning at 1 PM at the church with Joe Crum officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Taylor Cemetery, Gulnare, KY, with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY, is serving the Thacker family.
