I just learned of the death of Mr. Jack Swertfeger and extend my heartfelt sympathy to his family. As Director of Alumni and Development at Lyman Ward Military Academy,I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Swertfeger. He was a Lifetime Member of The Lyman Ward Military Acadamy/Southern Industrial Institute Alumni Association. Jack's eldest daughter, Suzanne, was my roommate at the UGA Kappa House in the early 70's. He and Ann were like second parents to me while I was at Georgia and I have loved them and their family all my life. He was a very generous man with his time, attention, affection and loyalty.
