Not sure what to say?

My Deepest Sympathies to the Nikel Family. I knew him from Lakeside and the Burlington Free Dept. as my Dad (Mickey) was a BFD fireman. My thoughts and prayers to your family at this most difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Nik's family. I remember his as a devoted family man and sportsman. I worked a number of shifts with him at Station 5, where he was a legend, and he forced me to practice my "culinary " skills. He may have regretted that but he was kind enough not to complain. I also had the good fortune to be invited to the house on Union Street for a few great feasts. Nik was a good soul and he will be missed.

Nikel family. Sorry for your loss. When I think of Nik, what we called him at BFD. will be the root beer floats and watching recorded HBO "B" flicks. Nik thanks for the time you spent with me teaching me about BFD history and lore. I still have the Ruger 70 rifle you sold to me more than 25 years ago. RIP my firend.

Love and miss you Grandpa
