Not sure what to say?

I cannot believe that it has been almost a year since you left us. I know that God sent you here for a reason and apparently had his reasons to take you back-so all I can say at this point is that I thank Him for letting us borrow you for almost 43 years. I talked to your mom last night and she says hello and is loving and missing you every second of every day since you have been gone. The kids are growing like weeds. Looking into Will's eyes is like staring at you. You would be so proud...

Rest in peace, Lance. Thinking of you and Carrie and your beautiful children.

Lance was a truly kind person. My prayers are with his family.

Lance was truly one of a kind. From the time he was in grade school and joined the safety patrol, to the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Order of the Arrow, The Navy, and finally as a Peace Officer, he always enjoyed living his life by helping others. He will always be loved and missed by many. Words can not express how much. My condolences go out to his wife, children, and family. I will always cherish the time I spent with him, remember him for the caring, compassionate person he was, and he will...

My sympathies to the Lance's family. I know Lance from serving as a chaplain for the department 1990-2001 and always appreciated Lance's spirit and service.

Carrie, I don't even have the words to describe my sadness over Lance's passing. He was truly a blessing to all who knew him. You, Will, and Caroline have been in my prayers daily. Lean heavily on all of us, your friends, and on the Lord, be strong for your children, and know that you all have the most wonderful Angel in heaven looking after you. Much love and prayers...

My thoughts and prayers goes out to you Carrie and your children.
