I went to school with Larry commencing from kindegarten through high school; we use to call him "preacher boy" because he always believed in the lord and he was blessed with so many talents. Larry always had a smile on his face and although it has been a few years since I last saw him, he was still the same Larry that I had grown to love. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

To Laverne and the entire Brooks family:

We were sadden to hear of our Bro. Larry's passing yet we rejoice in knowing that our brother is home with the Lord. We will always remember how our brother loved to sing and play his organ and keyboard for the Lord. We will always remember hearing him sing "We're Gonna Make It". Our brother has indeed "Made It" and we praise God for that. Be Encouraged. God is faithful and He will see you through.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Larry for seven years and I just wanted to say that He was always a smiling and cheerful individual. I pray that you are comforted by happy memories. (Rev. 21:3,4)

To the entire Brooks Family, LaVerne, the children, Ms. Emma Jean, Robert, Eddie and Edison. We all have released someone we loved very dearly back to the Lord who lent Larry to us for such a remarkable and wonderful season. I held Larry as a baby, watched him grow and develope into a wonderful Christian Adult, which is so rear these days.

His life was full of enthusians and joy, Larry loved life, his family and people. Alway smiling, reflecting the joy that he felt inside. ...

I had the pleasure of working with Larry for many years and my first thoughts are of his laughter and his broad smile. I can't recall a time that he didn't volunteer to help and go beyond the call of duty. He did everything without complaint and with a joy that seemed to reflect that he didn't give much thought to his own burdens. He changed and effected many lives by unconditionally accepting children and adults for who they were at that moment and in doing so was a great confidant to those...
