Not sure what to say?

Sending love to Frank and all of Larry's family. How grateful and fortunate I feel to have happened into the Black Rooster so long ago. That's where I found welcome, acceptance, and the love of new friends. I am honored to have known this sweet soul. Bless you, Larry.

I remember Larry with great affection from the time he shared Portland Town Council space with the Counseling Center for Sexual Minorities. He was smart, kind, funny, and amazingly creative. Bless you, Larry.

What a lovely tribute to a dear man! I see he returned to Portland in 1974, which is when I met him. When I decided to start the process of coming out, I went to the Portland Town Council office, and there I found Larry. He got me involved in the gay rights movement through the Town Council, which was the beginning of the rest of my life. I'm sure I'm just one of many for whom Larry was the hinge of that door that he led us through, to a more open, more fulfilling life.

We will miss his great heart and spirit.

Oh, Larry--SO MANY gbltqs are alive today due to your quiet refusal to accept the status quo. The trickle-down effect of your work is oceanic, and nothing less. We started off in a black-and-white world; your determined efforts turned it to technicolor--in 3-D! Rest in the peace you so richly deserve -- but doggone it, you were taken from us too soon! With all my eternal love and gratitude,
