Larry was born in Gunnison, Utah on July 20th, 1939 to Morlan L. Hyatt and Margaret E. Lund. He is survived by brother Doug Hyatt, sister Connie Wright, son Kelvin Hyatt, and daughters Kimberly Aste, Kristi Combs, Corrie Hyatt-Snodgrass, Lindsey Hyatt, Stacey Hyatt, Raschel Gardner, and Sara Hyatt. Later in his childhood, Larry's family relocated to Woods Cross, Utah where he attended Bountiful High School. After high school, Larry joined the National Guard where he served in multiple roles, including paratrooper. After discharge, Larry began his career as a truck driver and worked for several trucking companies hauling everything from produce to livestock to construction materials. Most of his routes kept him in the western states and helped fuel his interest for exploring "out of the way" historical places and roads less traveled. His explorations continued after retirement and he was known for hiking in the hills with his dogs. Larry had a passion for animals, dogs in particular, which included an award winning German Shepard. His passion was extended to his children and his family enjoyed horses, dogs, cats, chickens, goats, rabbits, and anything else his kids "rescued" over the years. Larry reconnected with his church in his later years and enjoyed attending services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Silver Springs, Nevada.
