Rubin, Larry D. Of Jerome, Michigan passed away on January 19, 2015 at Allegiance Health in Jackson. He was born on November 18, 1945 to William and Evelyn Rubin. Larry is survived by his mother, Evelyn; two children, Leonard (Kandee) Rubin and Brad (Tammy) Rubin; his fianc, Beth Garver; six grandchildren, Kaylee, Brett, Daun, Adriana, Bowe and Braden; three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Kirk and Ava; one sister, Jackie; three brothers, Bruce, Steve and Randy; one step-sister, Linda and two step-brothers, Steve and Danny. He was preceded in passing by one son, Chad Rubin; his father, William Rubin and his step-father, Boyd Raymond. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic from 1964-1968. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed flying ultralight aircrafts. He was a member of the EAA and worked at the Eaton Corporation for over 30 years and also taught an electrical class at JCC. Larry also looked forward to every Saturday morning at the airport having coffee with his fellow pilots and members of the Over the Hill Flying Club. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Larry D. Rubin will be held at the Hampton-Kurtz Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Friday, January 23, 2015 beginning at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at the Northlawn Cemetery in North Adams. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, January 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Hillsdale. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
