Not sure what to say?

Although 16 years have passed, and I continue to miss Laura, I remain so grateful to have known her. I have many fond memories of our time together, and her generosity of energy and spirit was always an inspiration. I send my kindest wishes to Jo, Iris and Isaiah, as well as the rest of Laura's family. May Laura live joyfully in your hearts forever.

I was on the ferry to Vermont this past weekend, and thought of the story of Laura doing a birth on the ferry...such a sweet and loving being!

She had to leave us too soon, but she is ever in my heart with love... arlene

In her childhood, Laura reflected the
kind of personhood that bore watching.
She thought and felt deeply about life
and people. In the adult world, she grew in richness and enriched others.
The loss of this woman cannot be meausured in words.

There are no words that can adequately describe this incredible woman, who inspired and nurtured so many. I feel so honored and blessed to have known Laura Mann, as she was a true goddess. Her compassionate care and wisdom guided me through the birth of my third child and inspired me to become a nurse. I will never forget the lessons she taught me, and hope that her model of care can continue to spread to others through my hands.

When Laura first told me of her illness I often had...

Jo and family; I am at a conference and just heard of Laura;s death. I am so, so sorry. Jim will be devastated. You and Laura were so important to me during my pregnancy, labor and delivery of Sage, the ski adventure you both did with Jim. How I loved when Laura used her hands to explain things in midwifery school. And most of all, how her eyes lit up when you came into her life. I will be in touch in the very near future.

Laura gracefully delivered our first-born daughter Anika, now 10, just over the hill from her own mountain home. She is dear in our hearts and will be remembered by us always! Her kindness, integrity, and compassion has touched so many lives.
Blessings,

Words cannot even begin to express my deepest gratitude for Laura. She was my midwife for all 3 of my children. She showed me how to be courageous and mindful. Laura cared for her clients as if they were family, and she will be truly missed. My heart goes out to You and Yours.

Laura helped bring all three of my daughter Amy's children into this world. The first two she delivered in my Underhill, VT home. She was competent and caring, respectful and supportive throughout each labor, always honoring my daughter and myself. I am privileged to have known this truly gifted midwife who became a dear friend and I am deeply saddened by her passing. I hope her family can find peace knowing how dearly Laura was loved and how much she meant to so many.
