Laurie Mesibov

I am so sorry to have discovered that Laurie has passed. Like Bob McRae, Laurie was go-to-person related to school law! I ALWAYS learned something after having spoken with her. She always listened and asked questions very specifically before quoting the law to me. She always had the correct answers for which I was always grateful. She served so many of us so faithfully and I truly miss her counsel! What a true treasure she was to North Carolina and we amateur law lovers! May her family...

Laurie was an inspiring student, colleague and friend who did a world of good throughout her time at Carolina. I know her devoted family must be suffering great sorrow and I send them my condolences.

My sincere sympathies go out to the family. Laurie was such a resource for me in the years I served as a superintendent of schools in our state. She was knowledgeable, perceptive and eager to assist. I counted her as one of my most valuable allies in understanding school law, and I always found her on point. Peace to each of you in the loss of this fine lady.
