Laurie and I taught ESL together in the mid 1990's. I knew she was an artist but she was also a wonderful creative, caring teacher. I remember her as being so warm--always smiling, never seeming unhappy. She was full of life and a delightful person to know and work with. I remember how thrilled she was at the birth of her son.
