Not sure what to say?

As I watched the news today and the tragic events unfolding in Pittsburgh (10/27/18), it made me think of Lavera. I served on the national advisory council with the Points of Light Foundation (Washington D.C.) with Lavera in the late 80's / early 90's when I was with the United Way of Cass-Clay in Fargo, ND. Dear Leslie,

I know it's hard to not shed tears of loss amidst the joy of celebrating your Mom's life. When you see her again, it will be as though no time has passed at all. May you and Gail and all your family be a comfort to each other as you walk this life and await the reward of seeing your Mom again in God's company.

Sincerely, Your Sister in Christ,

A truly memorable fighter for Civil Rights. All of my prayers for you and your family.

You will be in our memories.

It was an honor to be a part of her care for the last 2 days in the hospital. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help with her transition into hospice. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Shelly Maloney, RN

RIP Lavern.

Thank you for giving me the honor of being Mrs. Browns nurse for the 2 days I was with her before she was able to go home to be with her family. May she Rest In Peace. Sincerely, Shelly Maloney, RN

Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loved one.
I fondly remember Lavera as an avid supporter for Volunteerism as well as a close friend.
