Not sure what to say?

My name is Barbara Schaefer. My uncle was Herman Gruntmier. I have been organizing his old letters, photos and history. He was stationed at Scott Field, Illinois with Larry from about January to September, 1942. From his letters and photo album it was quite obvious that Larry, Herman and Dan Mcgreevie were great friends. I have several pictures of the 3 of them and some of Larry's parents when they came to visit. (You may already have copies but if not I would be delighted to share...

We will keep the Mailloux family in our prayers. Please remember that Lawrence had a happy long life and enjoyed the love of his wife and family. Now, he is at peace and will watch over each of you.

My very best thoughts to the Mailloux family at this sad time. One lives forever through the memories of the people who knew you; Lawrence will have a long, warm, and happy eternity because of this.

My deepest sympathy to Marie, the boys and all the family. May this very special man rest in peace, and memories comfort you always.
